Mata relishes attacking link-up

Juan Mata says he has been working hard on building an understanding with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, insisting top players are capable of playing alongside anyone.
 
The trio lined up together for the first time for last weekend's trip to Stoke with Mata and van Persie combining for United's goal in the 2-1 defeat.
The Spain international says he already feels settled at United and is relishing the chance to play alongside players of the calibre of Rooney and van Persie, as well as the burgeoning talent of Adnan Januzaj.
"We have been working on things in training to try to link better and understand each other better," Mata told MUTV. "But when you talk about players like them, they are top players so it's easy to play with them.

Moyes: Vidic will stay as Man Utd captain

   
The Scot believes the centre-back's professionalism means he will continue to contribute to the English champions until he leaves at the end of the season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes says Nemanja Vidic will remain as captain despite deciding to leave the club in the summer.

Vidic confirmed on Thursday that he will be moving on when his contract expires at the end of the season, bringing eight years of service at Old Trafford to a close.

But Moyes has no concerns about the defender's commitment and confirmed that he will continue as captain.

"No, [I would not take away the captaincy from] somebody like Vida given the type of man he is," he told the club's official website.
